The Division:
WinePOS, originally founded as Innovative Computer Solutions in 1980 and later rebranded following product evolution. It operates within Jonas Software, a global enterprise software group and subsidiary of Constellation Software, Inc.

Position
We're looking for a Senior App Developer initially for a 15 months contract (with the possibility of extension based on Business situation).

If you are interested in working for a fun, small development shop that sells software to the wine industry, then we are right for you. If you want the feel of a small company but with the funding security of a large corporation, then we might be what you are looking for.
Our ideal candidate would be someone who can immediately impact the team by owning application solutions. This includes:
● Evaluating different approaches for technical solutions
● Experience working in older applications and debugging other people’s code
● Designing technical solutions
● Acting as full team member, including design and code reviews, participating in Agile rituals, etc
Knowledge and Skills
● At least 10 years of professional software development experience
● Software analysis and design experience
● Excellent knowledge of legacy web applications written using the LAMP stack
● Excellent experience with debugging and performance optimization of other people's code
● Strong knowledge and experience with implementation of RESTful API integrations into existing applications
● Experience with Web-based development including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Perl, PHP, etc
● Experience with EDI and ETL processes
● Knowledge in Web service design and development
● Strong knowledge of git version control system
● Knowledge of Agile Development Methodologies
● Excellent debugging and analytical skills
● Experience maintaining production-level applications
● Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Nice to Have:
● Experience building PHP applications for the web using both modern technologies such as Laravel and legacy methods such as Apache CGI
● Experience with testing automation and CI/CD processes
● Experience administering HAProxy, Apache web server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other open source database
● General knowledge of Linux production environments, configuration of Linux OS, open source tools, etc
● Experience administering cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc.)
● Experience from both administration and user perspective of open source SQL database platforms such as MYSQL, PostgreSQL, etc
