We are seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to join our manufacturing team located in Crestmead.
The Distribution Manager is a key person in the manufacturing facility and is responsible for providing leadership and discipline to the factory’s supply chain team and is focused on achieving high levels of productivity and efficiency within a safe working environment.
The Role:
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Distribution Manager’s primary focus is to:
- Provide operational leadership to the Supply Chain work group (Goods In/ASRS, Hardware Alley & Despatch) whilst focusing on safety, quality, people, delivery and cost
- Ensure all Team Leaders & Supervisors thoroughly understand the Oxworks Operating System & are operating their workgroups within this system, and delivering high output productivity whilst maintaining systems & processes
- Focus on continuous improvement, improve efficiency and continually reduce waste through commitment to the Oxworks Operating System, in turn improving accountability requirements by all operational leaders
- Provide strong leadership to all Supply Chain staff including coaching and development, training, succession planning & performance managing as required
- Promote teamwork between the departments to ensure all are working to a common goal of exceeding customer expectations whilst working within the system
- Ensure operations are compliant with Company policies and procedures at all times
- Implement & execute directives that support the business strategy
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in leading large teams within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
- Moderate computer skills and knowledge of MS Office & SAGE ERP
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Demonstrated people and leadership skills & a natural problem-solver
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- A track record of improving safety
- Current Driver’s License
- Current Forklift License
- Current First Aid Certificate
