We are currently searching for a <em><strong>Dining Room Supervisor</strong></em> to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position at our Leduc location.<br />
<br />
<u><strong>Position Summary:</strong></u><br />
The <em><strong>Dining Room Supervisor</strong></em> is responsible for planning and overseeing the Lifestyle Options Dining Room department to facilitate the delivery of high-quality food and beverages and exceptional customer service.<br />
<br />
<u><strong>What You Bring to the Role:</strong></u>
<ul>
<li>Five (5) years’ experience in food services required.</li>
<li>One (1) year experience in leadership role required.</li>
<li>Exceptionally strong customer service experience required.</li>
<li>Exceptionally strong coaching and mentorship skills required.</li>
<li>Proficient in computer skills required.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal English skills to effectively communicate with all residents, visitors and at all levels within the organization required.</li>
<li>ProServe Liquor Staff Training (if applicable for building) required.</li>
<li>Banquet knowledge an asset.</li>
<li>Past experience working in a senior’s environment an asset.</li>
<li>Demonstrate integrity in all actions.</li>
<li>Ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion and demonstrate professional ethics.</li>
<li>Ability to empathize with seniors.</li>
<li>Ability to make independent decisions and apply them.</li>
<li>Ability to foster a collaborative relationship between the Dining Room department and other building departments.</li>
</ul>
<u><strong>Your Responsibilities:</strong></u>
<ul>
<li>Responsible for the Dining Room department and “Front of House” Food Services, including the space set up/appearance/cleanliness, management of dining staff and the overall dining experience of residents and guests.</li>
<li>Actively works towards improving the Dining Room department, including bringing creative ideas and recommendations on how to elevate the dining experience, procedures and processes to the Site Manager.</li>
<li>A ‘working supervisor’ on the floor, acting as a role model to dining staff and demonstrating ideal meal service standards. </li>
<li>Always greet residents with a smile and if possible, call them by name.</li>
<li>Demonstrate respect to the residents and cater to their needs and requests in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Maintain professional presence and demeanor.</li>
<li>Inquiring about resident and guest satisfaction with food and dining experience. </li>
<li>Engage in friendly, polite conversation with residents.</li>
<li>Monitor the activities of all serving staff and give instruction, advice and feedback as needed.</li>
<li>Ensure proper training of new staff.</li>
<li>Ensure that dining room staff is adhering to company procedures and policies.</li>
<li>Ensure correct staffing levels are maintained.</li>
<li>Create dining room staff schedules and distribute to staff.</li>
<li>Coordinates the set-up of the dining room for meal service.</li>
<li>Calmly and quickly detect potential guest problems and dissatisfactions. Listen to the concerns and suggestions of the residents. Eliminate issues or escalate them to the Site Manager.</li>
<li>Dividing the work into specific tasks and assigning those tasks amongst the dining room staff. Observing the staff to ensure the tasks are being performed according to instruction.</li>
<li>Perform a variety of supervisory paperwork, such as WCB, time off requests, etc.</li>
<li>Calculate and submit Dining Room - Room Charges to Site Administrator each month.</li>
<li>Follow Health and Safety policies and procedures/ report related concerns/ assist with hazard assessments.</li>
<li>Delegate dietary requirements, by creating dietary profile (as per AHS Case Manager), discuss with team, and visibly post..</li>
