About the Role:
As the Assistant Manager of Clinical Operations, you will play a vital role in supporting our Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and enhancing the operations of our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the unit Manager to develop and implement action plans focused on quality and safety improvements, care affordability, and enhancing patient and team member experiences.
- Lead the execution of these action plans and systematically evaluate their effectiveness.
- Contribute as a member of the interprofessional team, fostering an environment where the team is motivated to achieve exceptional patient outcomes and organizational excellence.
- Advocate for and promote evidence-based practices and professional nursing standards to advance nursing practice.
- Onboard and train new team members.
- Participate as a member of the leadership team for a 24/7 operational unit, which includes responsibilities on weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required.
- Pediatric ICU and/or Cardiology experience is strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
