Job Purpose

 

DP World is currently seeking a Customer Centre Coordinator to join the Commercial Operations team based at our Port Botany Terminal. In this role, you will act as the main liaison between customers and the scheduling teams. Additionally, you will manage customer-specific operational requests, build strong relationships with local and international stakeholders, and oversee a dedicated portfolio of customers. The role will focus on driving continuous improvement in vessel utilisation, container flow, and logistics processes while ensuring smooth daily operations. We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity available, working Monday to Friday.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as the main point of contact between customers and the scheduling teams for 4 terminals across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth.

  • Manage customer-specific operational requests, including container damage reports and delivery changes.

  • Build strong, effective relationships with local and international stakeholders through clear and professional communication.

  • Oversee a dedicated portfolio of customers, providing tailored support and coordination.

  • Drive continuous improvement in vessel utilisation, container flow, and logistics processes.

  • Ensure smooth daily operations through a deep understanding of customer needs and expectations.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build close working relationships with client lines and terminal operations staff.

  • Proficient in DP World internal planning systems (e.g., Sn4, SSR) and PC-based applications for reporting.

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.

  • Analytical and proactive approach to identifying and solving operational issues.

  • Willingness to take ownership of role-related projects and drive them through to completion.

  • Flexible and adaptable to industry changes and varying workloads.

  • Shipping, Transport, or Logistics industry knowledge is highly desirable.
