Job Purpose
DP World is currently seeking a Contracts Coordinator to join the team at our Port Botany Terminal in Sydney. This 24-month contract role is a key part of our infrastructure delivery, supporting the administration of contractual activities for container terminal and logistics park development projects across Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating contract documentation, liaising with our global headquarters, managing internal approvals for payment applications and budget adjustments, and contributing to cash flow forecasting and progress tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage contract-related processes including payment applications, approvals, and documentation tracking.
- Support continuous improvement of contract administration systems and documentation workflows.
- Assist with commercial activities such as change requests, variation orders, and claims management.
- Contribute to project risk management by identifying risks and supporting mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate, organised contract records and correspondence using the SharePoint platform.
- Ensure compliance with DP World’s OHS&E safety standards and relevant statutory requirements.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:
- Quantity Surveying, or a related field, with strong knowledge of FIDIC, AS 4000, and Australian construction contract frameworks.
- 3 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or port projects, ideally with exposure to construction insurance, PPPs, or government-funded projects.
- Understanding of procurement processes, commercial management, budgeting, and construction cost control.
- Proven ability to manage payment applications, track cash flow, and support change requests, variations, and claims.
- Proficient in contract management software, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and familiar with project management methodologies such as PMI or PMBOK.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in complex project environments.
