Senior Windows Server IS Administrator

My name is Valdas Adomaitis, and I’m leading Enterprise & DB Platforms department within IT Service Management at Telia Lietuva. Our department consists of over 30 IT professionals delivering high-quality IT infrastructure services both internally and to our external customers.

Microsoft Platforms team consists of ~15 L2 / L3 engineers supporting Microsoft Windows Server landscape with a variety of server roles like AD, AD CS, DNS, File, RDS, Hyper-V, Exchange, etc. as well as managing m365 services like Exchange Online, Teams, Sharepoint Online, Azure AD, Secure Score. Just to give a taste of the environment – there are 3000+ internal / external servers in the support scope..

As part of the IT Service Management department, our team ensures the stability, availability, and quality of key Microsoft technologies. We manage Windows Server roles (DNS, DHCP, File Services, AD DS), SCCM, Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V, and Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams). Our responsibilities also include Tier 3 incident resolution, root cause analysis, and managing escalations during critical service disruptions. Currently we’re looking for a Senior IS Administrator within our Microsoft Platforms team.

As a Senior Windows Server IS Administrator, you will

• Perform administration, configuration, deployment, and support tasks for Microsoft infrastructure products
• Manage and continuously improve Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments
• Solve complex technical issues, including high-severity incidents, as part of an on-call duty team
• Collaborate closely with IT Architects and other technical teams to implement robust and scalable solutions
• Automate repetitive tasks and provide visibility into system performance through scripting and monitoring
• Lead automation initiatives for operational efficiency
• Plan platform lifecycle, capacity, and usability for Microsoft 365 and Azure services
• Drive improvements across monitoring, backup, and security configurations

Your Experience

• Proven experience with Windows Server administration
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Office 365, or Azure platforms
• Strong skills in SCCM, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, and Hyper-V
• Experience in managing high-severity technical incidents and problem resolution
• Familiarity with scripting, orchestration, and automation tools
• Microsoft certifications in Windows Server, M365, or Azure are preferred
• Fluent in both English and Lithuanian (spoken and written)

Monthly salary range for this position 3200 – 4500 EUR gross plus annual bonuses.
