APM Terminals Liberia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Mobile Harbour Crane (MHC) Transformation Lead to drive strategic initiatives, optimize asset performance, and develop high-performing teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our MHC operations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Location: Monrovia , Liberia

Key Responsibilities:

Transformation & Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end transformation initiatives for the MHC function.
  • Coach and develop Managers, Supervisors, Technicians, and contractors.
  • Design and implement development programs aligned with strategic goals.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure MHC assets operate at optimal levels of reliability and availability.
  • Define and track performance indicators, reporting deviations and driving improvements.
  • Implement best practices in inventory and warehouse management.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and manage a 5-year transformation plan and Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP).
  • Align asset lifecycle strategies with ISO55000 standards and organizational objectives.

Asset Integrity & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with international standards through robust maintenance programs.
  • Develop risk management frameworks to mitigate asset-related risks.

Resource & Cost Management

  • Optimize resource deployment and inventory levels.
  • Monitor and control budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities through lean methodologies.

People & Communication

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Communicate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Asset Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years in Asset Management for Mobile Harbour Cranes, with 4 years in leadership roles.
  • Proven leadership in multicultural environments.
  • Proficiency in CMMS systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • Expertise in lean methodologies and process optimization.
  • Fluent in English; strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
