Leadership and management of screening activities within Sanctions Operations. Working collaboratively and to the direction of the Head of Sanctions Operations deliver uplift related to operational activities including the management of four operational teams. Lead a range of activities related to project and technology uplift and deliver these to operational teams. Work to proactively and continuously mitigate and improve sanctions risk. Work collaboratively with the Sanctions LT to deliver a best-in-class Sanctions Operations function. Maintain an up-to-date focus on sanctions risks and emerging trends and threats sharing the knowledge obtained.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sanctions Manager is accountable for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the team’s daily operations, focusing on process improvement, resource management, and compliance.
The Manager is responsible for creating a best practice sanctions operations environment, uplifting people capability, creating a robust process environment ensuring alignment with the wider Sanctions Operations team goals and objectives
The manager is tasked with monitoring the performance of the team through tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and identifying areas for improvement and contributing to long-term strategic planning to align operations with business goals.
Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience in leading financial crime operational teams
Extensive experience and an appetite for delivering operational improvements and uplift
Thought leadership in mitigation Sanctions risk via Al or associated tools
A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
Understanding of Sanctions and Sanctions Standards
Strong written and Verbal skills
Strong analytical sills
Thought leadership
Prior experience in SWIFT based payments
Curiosity and Investigative mind set
Tertiary qualified with a Degree in Business and preference to post graduate qualifications desirable ACAMS CGSS or ICA or AML/CTF qualifications.
