RESPONSIBILITIES / RESPONSABILIDADES - List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results), which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.
- Server and End-Point Patching for all PKC North America sites
- Manage the EPM and Service Desk Systems for PKC North America
- End-to-end design and troubleshooting of systems, storage, backup, and network infrastructure
- Responsibility for complete lifecycle of infrastructure systems inclusive but not restricted to design, builds, post installation support, deployments and L 1 Vendor interface
- Provide IT support for UNIX/Linux and Wintel systems
- Maintain and assist servers such as Citrix MPS4/4.5, NAS/SAN environments and VMWare ESX farms. Should also be knowledgeable in Cloud storage and management
- Interpret and assist backup as well as recovery processes aligned with industry standards
- Conduct installation, migration and upgrade entire technology systems within industry-validated atmosphere
- Provide support to Data Center Environment offering site recoverability of primary data center
- Assist to update disaster recovery plans along with business continuity analysis as appropriate
- Learn and comply with validation requirements, standard-operating procedures (SOP), project quality model (PQM) and change control maintenance for product life cycle
- Perform with network management and monitor tools for active company ' s production systems supervision including administration of Active Directory
- Perform within change control, ticketing system environment, and IT policies compliance
- Collect and evaluate data with suitable direction
- Report on client inventory items like slots, ports, cabinets and power
- Convey and coordinate with all IT resources
- Update technical and marketing documents related to infrastructure analysis
- Comply with and enforce the PKC Group Environmental, Health and Safety Policy.
- Comply with the environmental work instructions applicable to their job position.
- Report any deviation on the environmental operational controls established and communicate improvement initiatives.
- Participate in EHS training
KNOWLEDGE / CONOCIMIENTO- Describe any knowledge or skill (eg, technical, scientific, administrative, managerial) which the position requires.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of four years of relevant direct experience as a System Administrator or 8 years supporting complex end user desktop and mobile device environments
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
Skill / knowledge Requirements:
- Provides technical expertise and guidance to staff as appropriate
- Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments with high quality and on-time completion
- Strong customer service orientation
- Bilingual ability (Speak, Read, and Write) a plus, English/Spanish
Business/Technical Knowledge:
- Four years’ experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide infrastructure services such as patching. service desk, software services, storage, backup, monitoring, and business continuity
- Working knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, Linux security, Cloud security, SAN, Virtualization, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Patching and Monitoring
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, network interface cards, and other IT equipment
- Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, data processing concepts, and telecommunications principles
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally
- Medium physical activity - ability to lift up to 25 pounds
