Welder

Utilizes routine work orders and engineering drawing, written and/or verbal instructions to build and/or repair assemblies and components.

Performs tasks such as cutting/facing/welding.

Observes all safety standards and maintains a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment.

Follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment when required, and uses equipment and materials properly.

Utilizes test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, and components.

Receives parts and performs checks to ensure all necessary parts are available to perform build, test, and repair. Inspects parts for defects.

Minimum completed SPM or SKM level 2

Possess certification in welding—TIG

Previous welder experience working in a factory is beneficial.

Ability to remain at workstation for prolonged periods

Written communication skills to read blueprints and work instructions

Attentiveness to detail to spot flaws in products or problems with equipment

Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot

Time management skills to produce the required number of parts or products each shift

Able to work the night shift.
