POSITION PURPOSE
Under general supervision, observe gaming and operational areas using video surveillance systems to ensure laws, policies and procedures are being followed and maintained. Monitors slot and table games activity; reviews slot and table games department data contained in the Surveillance areas of  ACSC CMS-SMS SYSTEMS  also an understanding of sensitive key systems. Provides general leadership and work direction of department employees, including but not limited to 1) organizing and assigning work; 2) prioritizing workload and assignments to ensure orderly and efficient completion by department employees; 3) directing department employees in the successful completion of assigned work; 4)enforcement of department and company rules; 5) instructing and training department employees in the successful performance of their duties and 6) other leadership and work direction duties as assigned by Supervision.  Lead Persons do not perform supervisory tasks such as scheduling, discipline, performance reviews, hiring or terminations; although they may provide input to supervisors regarding such matters.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for this position.)


1.    Observes and reports any and all gaming violations and/or thefts of Horseshoe St. Louis.
2.    Assist Supervisor in training, developing, monitoring and leading personnel in such a manner to maintain a positive employee relations culture.
3.    Motivate and supervise staff in Supervisor’s absence in order to ensure employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established departmental and guest service objectives.
4.    Operates monitor room equipment, including basic computer functions;. reviews slot and table games department data contained in the Surveillance areas of  ACSC CMS-SMS SYSTEMS to protect company assets and funds
5.    Maintains video surveillance of the entire casino, i.e., table games, slots, keno, race & sports book, food and beverage outlets, parking lot, parking garages, hotel/casino complex, outbuildings and shops.
6.    Video records gaming and security-related incidents within the realm of monitor room video recording and surveillance capabilities.
7.    Participate in any court actions relating to gaming violations at Horseshoe St. Louis in order to represent facts as obtained by department. 
8.    Learns and uses various card count systems.
9.    Learns all games in use at Horseshoe St. Louis and all procedures and cheating indicators of such games.
10.    Perform other duties as assigned by management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
•    Must be at least 21 years of age
•    Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license
•    Must have 20/20 corrected vision
•    Ability to prioritize, and multi-task to effectively supervise operators in the absence of the Supervisor.
•    Ability to observe and direct actions of Operators in the absence of the Supervisor.
•    Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
•    Excellent guest service and communication skills.
•    Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
•    Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
•    Regular and punctual attendance is required.


These skills are typically acquired through a high school education or equivalent and two years of surveillance experience or casino experience in security, table games, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
