Catalyx is seeking a Process Engineer with hands-on experience in upstream
pharmaceutical or bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing, and working knowledge of Emerson
DeltaV and/or TruBio automation systems. This position will support daily
manufacturing operations and process optimization within a GMP-regulated
environment, with a focus on cell culture, fermentation, and media preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support
day-to-day upstream manufacturing processes including bioreactor operations,
seed train development, and media/buffer preparation.
· Monitor,
troubleshoot, and optimize automated control systems, with a focus on DeltaV
and/or TruBio.
· Collaborate
with cross-functional teams in Manufacturing, Automation, Quality, and
Engineering to ensure efficient and compliant process execution.
· Assist
in writing and revising SOPs, batch records, and automation-related
documentation.
· Participate
in equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), automation change control, and
validation activities.
· Support
investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and implementation of continuous improvement
initiatives.
· Analyze
process data to identify trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities for
upstream operations.
· Provide
on-floor support during production campaigns and assist with start-up and
shutdown procedures.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s
degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field.
· 3+
years of experience in upstream pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical
manufacturing.
· Experience
working in a GMP-regulated environment.
· Working
knowledge of Emerson DeltaV and/or TruBio automation systems.
· Strong
problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
