Inpria Corporation, a subsidiary of JSR Corporation, has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Technician based in Beaverton, OR. We are seeking an enthusiastic and conscientious candidate to join our logistics team. Logistics prepares and executes the shipment of dangerous goods, assists with chemical and labware purchasing and inventories, and maintains a clean and organized warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience in DOT regulatory compliance.  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently generate, pick, pack, label, document, and verify domestic and international dangerous goods shipments to domestic and international customers with an extremely high degree of consistency and accuracy
  • Complete provided training and certification courses on dangerous goods shipping and waste handling.
  • Ability to read SDSs and understand the chemical hazards to yourself and the environment
  • Accurately follow detailed SOPs to ensure consistency and accuracy within the shipping and receiving processes
  • Monitor and maintain inventories of shipping and waste processing supplies.
  • Monitor and maintain inventories of laboratory consumables and stock chemicals.
  • Process incoming freight shipments through acceptance, storage, and inventory documentation.
  • Verify shipments are received in good condition and scan freight paperwork, as needed.
  • Load, unload, and move freight between delivery and storage areas.
  • Process incoming labware shipments to ensure timely, accurate inventory updates and end-user delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and warehouse environment that meets safety standards.
  • Assist with janitorial tasks in chemical laboratory environments.
  • Assist staff with reception of freight shipments, storage, and movement of equipment and chemicals.
  • Support EHS staff via routine inspections of select safety equipment and hazardous waste storage locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

  • High-School diploma or GED plus 2-years relevant work experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment or associate’s degree or equivalent in a scientific or technical field. 
  • Record of safety and conscientiousness in an industrial workplace, ideally in the presence of hazardous chemicals. 
  • Well-organized, proactive, flexible, and eager to learn; able to work in a fast-paced team environment. 
  • Preference given to candidates with chemical handling, hazardous waste, EHS and/or dangerous goods shipping experience and/or certifications. 
  • Detail orientated individuals with strong documentation skills and a quality mindset preferred.  
  • Verifiably good driving record. 
  • Ability to be flexible in training schedule with daily travel and/or potential overnight stay throughout weekdays in Corvallis needed for at least first 4 weeks of job start
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical ability to lift 30 lbs. overhead; ability to lift 75lbs. up to waist level; walk and stand for extended periods; use hand trucks or forklifts to shift packages, drums, and cylinders; use keyboard and mouse for computer data entry. 
  • Physical ability to wear required protective clothing and equipment, including footwear, eyewear, masks and face shields, head coverings, masks, and cleanroom or chemical protective gowning. 
  • Physical ability and basic proficiency with simple hand tools such as wrench, pliers, screwdriver, drill, saw, etc.
