  1. Manage the team

  4. Set targets and monitoring of the performance.
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive Sustainability and Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) strategies, policies, and procedures in compliance with Labor laws, esp. Factories Act, 1948, and other applicable regulations.
  2. Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors across manufacturing facilities, offices, and other operations.
  3. Foster a culture of sustainability, promoting resource efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental stewardship.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate EHS risks, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and industry peers to stay updated on emerging trends, regulations, and best practices.

Qualification :  M.E in Industrial Safety with any Bachelors in Engineering

Other certifications:

  1. Nebosh
  2. Certified by RLI

Experience: 15 to 20 years of experience in Auto Industry (preferably) or manufacturing / heavy industries

  1. Proven expertise in Indian labor laws, Factories Act, 1948, and other relevant regulations, such as:
    1. The Environment (Protection) Act, 1986
    2. The Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981
    3. The Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974
    4. The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards
  2. Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks and standards, such as ISO 14001 (EMS) and ISO 45001 (OH&S).

Specific knowledge

  1. Knowledge of Setting up Safety standards, Governance, & Plant Operational Safety management
  2. Sub contractor Management
  3. Chemical safety Management
  4. Road safety
  5. Civil & Project Safety
  6. Training employees on Safety
  7. Handling of Medical Center (Leading the team of Doctors)
  8. Managing the Environment (Air, Water, Pollution )
  9. Knowledge on Sustainability and Driving ESG within the organisation
  10. Knowledge on Plant Statutory Compliance ( Electricity, TNPCB and other govt approvals)
