Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Playwright Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, with specific experience in using Playwright. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, Java, and JavaScript.
- Test Planning and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, create test plans, and execute automated tests to ensure software quality.
- Framework Enhancement: Enhance and optimize existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency, reliability, and coverage.
- Issue Identification and Resolution: Identify, track, and report defects and issues discovered during testing, and work with developers to resolve them.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation, and continuously improve automation processes and tools.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to ensure a seamless integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in software test automation, with a focus on Playwright, Java, and JavaScript.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Playwright for browser-based automation, as well as proficiency in Java and JavaScript for developing automated tests.
- Test Frameworks: Experience in creating and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- CI/CD Integration: Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AzureDevOps).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Version Control: Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other automation tools like Selenium or Cypress.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Good to have experience with API testing.
- Other Tools: Knowledge of other automation tools and frameworks.
