- Develop and execute strategies to expand the company's international market presence and drive revenue growth in the defense and aerospace sectors.
- Lead business development efforts in global markets, identifying new opportunities and securing international contracts for defense products and services.
- Manage relationships with key international stakeholders, including government agencies, defense contractors, and international clients.
- Drive the formulation of business strategies to enter new regions, working closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, and finance.
- Lead negotiations and manage complex contract discussions with international clients and partners, ensuring favorable terms and long-term agreements.
- Monitor geopolitical trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and identify new business opportunities.
- Oversee the development of proposals, RFP submissions, and bids for large-scale international defense projects.
- Ensure compliance with all export regulations, international trade laws, and defense sector protocols when conducting business in global markets.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement tailored strategies for brand positioning and business growth in international markets.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the international business development team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on achieving global sales targets.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, International Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in international business development, with a focus on the defense or aerospace industry.
- Proven track record of leading successful business development initiatives in international markets and securing large-scale contracts.
- Strong understanding of global defense markets, geopolitical dynamics, and export regulations.
- Experience in managing complex negotiations and contracts with international clients, governments, and defense organizations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on building long-term relationships with global clients and partners.
- Proficiency in managing global sales teams, developing market strategies, and leading international expansion efforts.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis for international business operations.
- Fluency in multiple languages is highly desirable.
