Associate Manager - EHS

Strategic:

• Supervise in the project/cluster to for effective implementation of approved safety process, Plans and HSE procedures.

Operational:

• Preparing HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) plan for the project/cluster as per the contract requirement
• Provides advice and consultation to assist staff & contractor in maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with regulations, standards and practices.
• Assists the Head and Lead HSE in the enforcement of HSE policies, procedures & guidelines.
• Identify any concern/abnormalities / deviations in housekeeping, spills and HSE violations and report to Management.
• To render advice on measures to be adopted for removing unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers.
• To assist Project In charge in Implementation of Permit to work procedure. 
• Organize and conduct safety committee meetings to evaluate effective implementation of HSE plan.
• Under the direction of the HSE & S Manager, assist in investigation or cause to be investigated all accidents, incidents and near misses involving HSE occurring on the site.
• To assist Project In charge in Implementation of Risk Assessment/ JSA and implemented successfully in all the sites 
• Conducting periodic health, safety and fire safety training and demonstrating programs for staff and workers
• Conducted safety audits of consumer’s premises.
• Training contractors/workers/supervisor for safety management.
• Ensures that all equipment, tools, and materials comply with the project regulations and requirements and that the personnel have been adequately trained to use them safely.
• Implementing statutory need of safety at construction project.
• To discuss the equipment of personnel protective equipment and other facilities, which is required improving safety
• Ensure good housekeeping is maintained at construction site. Carry out inspection of lifting equipment; lifting tackles maintain record of same.
• Availability of necessary safety posters/ signboards and safety documents at construction site.

Financial:

• Prepare AOP and adhere to budget expenses

People:

• Ensure safety training to all employees, vendors, labour workforce etc.

• B.Sc- Science / Diploma (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical) from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
• Diploma (Industrial safety) BTE approved. NEBOSH IGC required. 

10+ years of work experience with >5 years in a supervisor role in High Rise Buildings, extensive township and mixed used development (Commercial, Retail, Malls and Hotels) and Infrastructure Projects
