The Opportunity:

The Contracts Administrator role will support the Procurement team to implement and continuously improve the Procurement process to ensure early identification of opportunities. This role is also critical in maintaining the contracts management process and registering to manage and control risk and maximize opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all agreements are compiled in a clear and concise manner, consistent with any negotiated and / or approved position, and are executed by subcontractors or the like prior to commencing works

• Ensure all subcontracts are scanned into the system and ensure documents are securely stored in accordance with business protocols

• Provide support to the project team for the effective management of subcontractor and supplier payments in accordance with the contract terms (including any security of payment requirements)

• Maintain and develop beneficial relationships between the client and key stakeholders.

• Management of all commercial matters, including monthly progress claims and variation claims to the client, ensuring compliance with Head Contract conditions and the Security of Payment Act.

• Review, authorise application of, retrieve and manage Bank Guarantees in accordance with Head Contracts.

• Coordinate the daily tracking of project performance data (plant, labour, materials, external suppliers and subcontractors, etc.) 

Required Skills and Competencies

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Commerce, other relevant discipline or previous demonstrated work experience
• Minimum three years in a similar role
• Exposure to major Infrastructure projects highly desirable but not essential.
• Demonstrated successful application of contract systems and procedures so that tracking and reporting is accurate to inform decisive and positive actions in the management of cost and forecast.
• Current Driver License and your own reliable vehicle
