Job Overview:
Students of Allied Health Science programs and/or their equivalent as defined by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) are required to obtain specific education, clinical training and experience to qualify to take a certification examination. This position allows them to assist with waived and moderate complexity testing to obtain such clinical training and experience. An individual agrees to a specific route (education and training) and the time in which they will complete this route when hired.
Upon completion, they are eligible to apply for any open MT/MLT positions at TriHealth Laboratory locations as Registry-Eligible. This position is designed to encourage employees to obtain certification and to pursue Registered Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Registered Medical Technologist (MT)/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) positions within our laboratory.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an approved Allied Health Science program (Required)
- In the final year of a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT)/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) program, graduating by or before May 2026 (Required)
- Clinical training experience within an approved program as outlined above (Required)
- Verification of current enrollment in an MT/MLT program will be required upon hire
