Description

FireTron Inc. is a leading provider of commercial life safety systems, specializing in the installation, service, and inspection of fire alarm, security, access control, sprinkler, and special hazard suppression systems. We are currently seeking a highly organized Human Resources Coordinator with a keen eye for detail and a strong team oriented mindset to join our team. The HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources department by coordinating and executing various HR functions, including benefits administration, employee relations and compliance. This role ensures smooth HR operations by maintaining accurate records and facilitating communication between employees and management. The HR Coordinator plays a vital role in promoting a positive work environment and enhancing the overall employee experience.

Requirements

HR Administration: 

  • Assist with the preparation of HR documents, Job Offers, VOE’s, employment contracts, transfers and termination documents
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the HR team

Benefits Administration:

  • Assist with benefits administration, including employee enrollments, changes and terminations 
  • Respond to employee questions about benefits
  • Conduct routine audits of benefits and monthly bills and assist Accounts Payable department in payment

Payroll:

  • Support payroll processing by gathering timekeeping information, addressing payroll inquiries and ensuring accurate and timely submission of timecards

Employee Relations: 

  • Act as point of contact for employees with HR related questions or concerns 
  • Support HR initiative aimed at fostering a positive workplace environment, employee engagement activities and wellness events
  • Assist with conflict resolution and help implement solutions to workplace issues

Compliance and Reporting: 

  • Assist in audits and other compliance-related tasks
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations 
  • Monitor updates in employment legislation and advise management on necessary changes

HR Systems and Technology:

  • Maintain HR databases to ensure accurate record keeping
  • Troubleshoot HR software issues and provide support to employees
  • Generate reports on HR metrics such as headcount, turnover rates, and employee demographics 
  • Keep up with system updates and new features ensuring that the company is utilizing all functionality of the system to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Work with HR team to identify opportunities for automating manual processes and optimizing the use of the systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Preferred
  • SHRM-CP or PHR Preferred
  • 3 years of experience in an HR Support or coordinator role, in a fast-paced environment is required
  • Basic knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting recruitment efforts, including candidate sourcing, screening and interview coordination
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • 3 years of experience with HRIS systems is required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
