Description
At Nevada Heart and Vascular Center (NHVC), the Manager, Revenue Operations, under the direction of the Sr. Director, Revenue Cycle Management, is primarily tasked with owning daily revenue cycle functions that support financial performance, data integrity, and operational execution. This includes leading weekly, cross functional team meetings, maintaining modality-level payer allowable tracking, managing vendor communication workflows, and serving as a system liaison for AthenaOne, HybridChart, and other systems as required. The manager serves as a partner to RCM leadership, ensuring follow-up discipline, SOP adherence, and operational transparency across workstreams.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years in revenue cycle and operations within a healthcare setting
- Minimum 2 years experience working directly with AthenaOne (required)
- Prior experience with Excel (advanced) and Smartsheet (working knowledge), (required)
- Project management experience required; formal training or certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM, ScrumMaster, or Lean Six Sigma) strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with PACS systems or imaging workflows
- Experience supporting system integrations or vendor transitions
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- Proficiency with AthenaOne navigation and reporting tools (required)
- Excel proficiency (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, conditional formatting) (required)
- Ability to read and interpret EOBs, denials, and payer trends (required)
- Experience running structured meetings with documented follow-up
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Smartsheet experience for dashboard and task tracking
- Ability to interpret data, build reports, and synthesize insights
- SOP formatting, version control, and policy adherence tracking
- Cross-functional collaboration across clinical, billing, front desk, and vendor teams
- Professional etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Effective and professional communication skills
- Effective time management and ability to prioritized tasks
- Effective time management to include work hours, lunch breaks and assigned meetings

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Lead weekly meetings and maintain related dashboards
- Track modality allowable amounts by payer and build CPT/payer tables
- Monitor testing volumes, missed testing opportunities impacting utilization rates such as denied auths
- Track payer denials during trials of testing opportunities during implementation and support vendor coordination and documentation
- Maintain SOP library with version control and formatting consistency
- Build and maintain follow-up dashboards by team, issue, and due date
- Coordinate resolution of vendor issues
- Serve as system liaison to document, escalate, and resolve workflow or interface issues
- Support ad hoc reporting, trend analysis, and presentation prep
- Assist in identifying workflow inefficiencies and recommend system or operational improvements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Employee is required to have visual and auditory acuity necessary for communications with other employees and/or customers to meet business needs of NHVC.
- Employee must be able to see written documentation and be able to speak and hear for communication with employees/customers.
- Ability to use a wide array of office equipment including, but not limited to a PC, copier, fax, multi-line telephone, etc.
- Employee is exposed to general indoor working conditions and may on occasion require light lifting or no greater than 20 pounds and some offsite travel.
