This position is responsible for the drafting, formatting and updating of algorithm content (graphical representation of clinical content) of the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines) in collaboration with faculty members at NCCN member institutions and NCCN Clinical Information Staff.
Requirements
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collate comments from NCCN Member Institutions (Institutional Reviews), in preparation for NCCN Guidelines updates
- Coordinate web conferences, in preparation for NCCN Guidelines panel meetings, for subcommittee assignments, and for review of preliminary and final Guideline versions
- Coordinate collection of meeting materials for NCCN Guidelines panel meetings and web conferences
- Attend Guidelines Panel meetings and web teleconferences
- Update, format, and finalize NCCN Guidelines algorithms using Adobe InDesign with guidance
- Draft content for communication of updates to the NCCN Guidelines (FLASH updates)
- Draft content to document any issues that required votes from the Panel during the NCCN Guidelines update (Transparencies)
- Perform other related duties as assigned
EDUCATION/RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in health-related field, English/Communications, or equivalent work experience required. Masters preferred.
- Experience in oncology strongly preferred
- 5+ years in related healthcare experience
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe products
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external personnel at various levels
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This position operates in a professional office environment and is largely sedentary. This role routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
