The Opportunity
The Accident Damage & Claims Lead is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of accident damage claims under $50,000 across Cleanaway’s national fleet. This role ensures timely, cost-effective repairs, governance over internal and external repair networks, and accurate claims reporting to support safety, compliance, and financial outcomes. The role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement, mitigating risk, and upholding service standards within the national repair framework. Responsibilities will include:
- Allocate repair work across the national network of internal workshops and third-party providers, balancing cost, turnaround time, location, asset type, and repair severity.
- Ensure alignment of all repair activity with Cleanaway’s service delivery standards and commercial expectations.
- Oversee preparation of damaged fleet assets prior to disposal, ensuring safe decommissioning, removal of proprietary equipment, and alignment with Cleanaway’s disposal protocols to prevent competitor risks.
- Identify opportunities to reduce asset downtime and repair cycle times through improved coordination and claims resolution processes.
About You
- Experience in accident claims management, preferably within fleet, transport, or logistics environments.
- Proven ability to coordinate repairs across a distributed internal and external service network.
- Experience using incident reporting or claims platforms (e.g. MYOSH or equivalent).
- Background in vendor management and compliance monitoring.
- Exposure to risk analysis and reporting practices related to fleet or incident data.
- Working knowledge of claims management systems and repair coordination practices.
- Understanding of national safety standards, fleet operations, and decommissioning protocols.
