Description
LDI Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for processing weekly payroll, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, and serving as a key point of contact for payroll-related inquiries.
- Accurately process weekly payroll for all employees in a timely manner
- Review and verify employee timesheets; resolve discrepancies by working directly with department managers and supervisors
- Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, employee information changes, and location transfers
- Process employee reimbursements, bonuses, and timekeeping reports on a weekly basis
- Prepare, compile, and distribute payroll-related reports as needed
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries from managers and employees
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Perform accounting tasks related to payroll, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare and distribute year-end W-2 statements in accordance with legal requirements
- Assist with other payroll or accounting projects as assigned
Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll administration or a related accounting function
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of Paylocity payroll is a plus
- Knowledge of Busybusy Timekeeping software a plus
