Description
Westminster College is looking for graduate assistants to serve the Sports Performance Department. Available positions include (1) Strength and Conditioning Assistant Coach. The graduate assistant is responsible for supporting the athletic department in various responsibilities related to the field listed above. Westminster College is a member of the NCAA Division III, competing in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) and the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC).

Essential Functions:
Graduate Assistant Coach responsibilities:
- Assist with Football
- Design, implement, and lead strength and conditioning programs for 3–4 assigned varsity teams under the supervision of the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
- Instruct student-athletes in proper lifting techniques, mobility, recovery strategies, and overall training safety
- Track and document athlete attendance, training progress, and performance metrics as applicable
- Communicate regularly with sport coaches and athletic trainers regarding athlete development, training modifications, and injury considerations
- Assist with daily facility operations, including equipment setup/breakdown, cleaning, and maintenance
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and contribute to department projects as assigned
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Pursuing or received CSCS or SCCC.
Compensation: Compensation for teaching an in-person course is $1,000/ credit-hour
Eligibility:
Students are eligible for a Graduate Assistantship at Westminster College if they have been admitted to a graduate degree program at William Woods University. An official offer cannot be extended to an applicant until the student is accepted.
