Your Role

The National Manager of Scrap Sales is a remote senior leadership role responsible for end-to-end management of our ferrous and non-ferrous scrap-metal product lines. You will oversee sourcing, negotiation, strategy, logistics, and compliance across a 16-state footprint, shaping national scrap sales performance and vendor relationships.

What You'll Do as the National Manager of Scrap Sales

- Source and broker ferrous/non-ferrous scrap sales, negotiate contracts, and build relationships with mills and refineries
- Track global/regional indices (COMEX, LME) and issue weekly market updates and pricing models
- Coordinate freight logistics and ensure compliance with DOT, EPA, and state regulations
- Monitor P&L through dashboards; reconcile assay-based settlements
- Serve as primary contact for Tier-1 buyers and secure new national accounts quarterly
- Conduct compliance audits; ensure export law adherence
- Partner with internal teams and present performance summaries to senior leadership

 

What You Bring as the National Manager of Scrap Sales

- 5+ years in scrap metal brokerage, trading, or recycling leadership
- Strong Excel (macros, pivot tables), Power BI/Tableau experience
- Knowledge of COMEX, LME, DOT, EPA, RCRA, and state regulations
- Excellent negotiation, analytics, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Relationships with catalytic refiners, smelters, recyclers; industry certifications (e.g., CSCP, CHMM)
