Description
AO Multispecialty Clinic is seeking a Medical Records Specialist to organize and manage health information data, ensuring quality, accuracy, accessibility and security in both paper and electronic systems.
Requirements
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Prep patient chart for the next day’s visit
- Call and request new patient information as well as reports on active patients
- Fax medical records to referring physicians
- Scan all paper documents into patients’ chart, including new patients.
- Send out all medical records requests
- Check reminders in EHR
Experience and Education
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 2 Years Medical Experience Required
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- ICD-9/ICD-10
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Ability to comply with OSHA and HIPAA policies
- Exceptional customer service skills
