Description

AO Multispecialty Clinic is seeking a Medical Records Specialist to organize and manage health information data, ensuring quality, accuracy, accessibility and security in both paper and electronic systems. 


Requirements

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prep patient chart for the next day’s visit
  • Call and request new patient information as well as reports on active patients
  • Fax medical records to referring physicians
  • Scan all paper documents into patients’ chart, including new patients.
  • Send out all medical records requests
  • Check reminders in EHR

Experience and Education

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 2 Years Medical Experience Required
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • ICD-9/ICD-10

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to effectively multi-task
  • Ability to comply with OSHA and HIPAA policies
  • Exceptional customer service skills
