Responsibilities

Lead and manage all engineering aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Supervise and mentor site engineers and junior staff, providing ongoing technical guidance and support
Oversee the execution of on-site construction activities and ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and industry standards
Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations to optimize efficiency
Conduct regular site inspections and quality control assessments, proactively identifying and resolving issues
Review and approve engineering designs and technical documentation
Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and project execution
Prepare and present detailed progress reports to senior management, including performance metrics and recommended corrective actions when necessary
Establish and maintain safety protocols and best practices across all job sites
Ensure the availability and efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 15 years of experience in building construction projects
Proven experience in managing complex projects in the hospitality and commercial sectors
Hands-on site experience in hotel construction projects is essential
In-depth knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and engineering best practices
Strong understanding of project organization, particularly regarding health and safety planning and implementation
Excellent project management, leadership, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
Willingness and flexibility to travel and work on projects across Greece as required
