The day to day:
- Developing Buyer team relationships within your Costco regions for a collaborative and prosperous partnership
- Lead the development of the annual budget and trade spend strategy in conjunction with other Costco Regional Sales Managers and as part of the overall Global Costco strategy
- Proactively identifying gaps and opportunities, and report any risk or upside to the Global Costco AVP, with specific action plans
- Manage monthly, quarterly, & bi-annual meetings with each assigned Costco regional buying team to review the state of the business. Present new items, conduct line reviews, and customized promotional calendars for each account
- Develop and manage annual promotional calendars
- Execute the Global Costco sales strategy at the regional level to ensure attainment of company sales goals and objectives
- Provide excellent merchandising and category recommendations to support sales growth
- Develop regional sales and marketing plans
- Work with Costco Buying teams and inside sales on the resolution of any issues, while facilitating the continuation of re-orders for the Company’s products
- Booking and managing Costco demos and other promotional activities
- Forecast sales and shipments within assigned regions
- Managing trade spend through spend management system and following-up
- Manage and maintain regional Costco sales and spend documents
- Authorizing and closing off trade spend invoices
- At least 5 years’ experience in food sales. Costco experience and natural and/or organic food sales experience are required
- Demonstrated ability working with key software applications, such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word & Experience with SM1
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
- This is a remote role with travel (approx. 25%) and the candidate should be located in either Bay Area, San Diego, or Los Angeles
- The base salary will be in the $125,000 - $150,000 range with a 20% bonus
