Description
The Senior Field Marketing Manager, EMEA, is responsible for driving revenue growth through brand awareness and lead generation efforts across EMEA. This role involves managing B2B, B2C, and awareness campaigns, building media partnerships, and experimenting with new marketing activities targeting SANS audiences (C-levels, security practitioners). Additionally, you will provide leadership to the EMEA field marketing team, support customer-led strategies, and contribute to the growth of SANS Institute across the region.Key Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities Define and execute a region-specific marketing plan that aligns with the regional sales strategy and contributes to the overall revenue targets of SANS.Provide insights and region-specific requirements to broader marketing discipline teams, including Product Marketing, Content Marketing, Digital Marketing, Campaigns, and Events.Collaborate with EMEA country sales leaders to define and manage the B2B and B2C marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with revenue and order targets across Business Units.Develop and implement unique strategies and programs at the regional level to account for market differences, leveraging the local presence of customers and partners.Drive a cohesive marketing and engagement plan, working with multiple stakeholders, and advocating for EMEA priorities within the broader marketing department.Operational Responsibilities Own and run account-based marketing campaigns with your sales teams or in collaboration with the regional Lead Management Manager, enabling Sales Development Reps and Inside Sales teams to accelerate new customer acquisition.Plan and host online and offline events to create new sales opportunities, accelerate existing ones, and deepen relationships with existing customers.Support regional sales teams in addressing pipeline gaps, increasing brand awareness locally/regionally, and driving leads and Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs).Work closely with business development and inside sales teams to ensure they are equipped to act upon and progress leads from globally and locally executed marketing campaigns.Achieve seat targets for Online and Live Event-based training across the region.Conduct post-event and campaign evaluations, including ROI analysis, and report results and recommendations to sales and marketing teams.
Leadership and Team Management
Provide leadership to the EMEA field marketing team, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting their professional growth and development.Train, lead, and develop a team of regional field marketing managers, ensuring they are aligned with the broader marketing and sales strategies.Work closely with Sales teams and Business Units to ensure the effective execution of marketing actions that drive success in the marketplace. Stakeholder ManagementCollaborate with Content Marketing, Brand, Sales, and external media partners across EMEA, to build and support the local cybersecurity community, increasing brand awareness and generating leads.Engage in relevant partnerships to further enhance SANS’ thought leadership position across EMEA and ensure that marketing contributes effectively to quarterly business reviews. FinanceManage and control the Northern European and EMEA Field Marketing budgets in collaboration with the EMEA Marketing Director.Evaluate and report on marketing activities in EMEA using key performance indicators to measure success and inform future strategies.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Experience7+ years of lead generation, field marketing, and digital marketing experience.
5-6 years’ Marketing experience of which 2-3 years in Field Marketing.
Experience delivering, accelerating, and expanding sales pipeline through regional marketing.
Demonstrated success in building brand affinity in the market.
Direct experience working with CRM and Marketing Automation tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Marketo (or similar), and Salesforce.com.
People management experience, including managing remote employees.
Excellent knowledge in marketing, sales, and promotion, coupled with a creative mindset and being hands-on.
Understanding of lead generation best practices.
Direct experience working with CRM and Marketing Automation tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Marketo (or similar) and Salesforce.com.
PC literate with good MS Office skills.
