Questex is seeking an Associate Editor to join the Travel group. We are a high energy, high impact group known for our creative ideas, dependable execution and unmatched results.

As our Associate Editor, you’ll support Questex’s success by: 

  • Produce timely, original content on a weekly basis for Luxury Travel Advisor, Travel Agent Central and Meeting Spotlight, where needed (at least 3 short-form stories daily along with bigger features expected bi-weekly)
  • Manage/post to social media channels across all three brands and drive higher engagement and original content
  • Represent — along with managing editor and content director — Luxury Travel Advisor, Travel Agent Central and Meeting Spotlight at events, press trips and hosted stays [This job may have global travel expectations]
  • Collaborate with content director on expanding verticals within LTA and evergreen content strategy across all three titles
  • Manage/produce editorial aspect of virtual events
  • Lead legacy special projects, including Awards of Excellence and 30Under30, with content director
  • Contribute regularly to product websites with content and updates
  • Manage editorial content and speaker recruitment for Ultra events and other events as assigned.
  • Work with content director and managing editor on creating new annual tentpole projects
  • Coordinate with Center of Excellence team in terms of website updates, introduction to new vendors, SEO research
  • Conduct regular check-ins, network with roster of luxury advisors/”super” advisors

 

Your Experience and Education Include:

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in English or Journalism
  • Superb proofreading and fact-checking abilities
  • Excellent time-management and team-leading abilities
  • Strong organization skills and proven ability to oversee projects from conception to completion
  • Writing features/social media posts in a B2B environment, within travel community preferred.

 The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50-70K depending upon experience and travel community experience.  Salary offers are based on a broad scope of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, geographic and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package we offer the following:
