The Accounting department for Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds is currently seeking a Accounting Analyst to oversee various aspects of the financial reporting and accounting close process, as well as preparation of various accruals and account reconciliations. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and requires working with many departments and teams. This person will be a highly motivated team player with excellent written skills, communication skills, Excel skills, ability to multi-task, and remain organized in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

Job Description

  • Responsible for Leading the month-end process to ensure timely close
  • Responsible for various aspects of accounting including the preparation of journal entries and analysis.
  • Prepares balance sheet reconciliations and analyzes variances. 
  • Oversee inter-company transactions to ensure invoices are paid on time monthly and quarterly.
  • Support quarterly and annual reporting package
  • Regular communication with departments to ensure understanding of business activities that will impact responsible sections.
  • Maintain accurate records and detailed tied-out work papers including standard working procedure for each task.
  • Proactively identifies areas in need of improvement to increase overall team efficiency.
  • Assist management with ad hoc research and analysis as well as reporting projects.
  • Assist with year-end financial and various audit requests.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of professional accounting experience
  • BS/BA in Accounting or related field
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Highly motivated individual with ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Hands on experience with a major ERP system, Oracle preferred
  • Strong cross-functional skills given the combination of accounting and operations responsibilities in this role
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member
  • Ability to proactively identify, resolve and communicate issue

Pay Range: $36.00/hr-$38.46/hr and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
