MRI TECHNOLOGIST - PRN- Western Hills    As Beacon continues to grow rapidly, we are increasing our number of MRI scanners. Our mission is to provide a comfortable MRI imaging experience for a broad spectrum of individual patient needs. The MRI services at Beacon are designed to accommodate our entire patient population.    
Position Summary:
Perform MRI scans, working with MD’s and radiologists to ensure proper procedure is done; screening patients, ensuring all forms and orders are complete.
         
Position Responsibilities/Standards:
  • Perform MRI scans
  • Screen patients and educate
  • Ensure all forms and orders are complete
  • Obtain medical history
  • Inject contrast materials
  • Print films for MD’s and Radiologists
  • Log all patients/scans/copies/readings
  • Stock supplies and linens
  • Maintain room cleanliness
  • Interact with MD’s and radiologists to ensure correct exams are completed.
  • Perform calibration and/or routine maintenance of scanner and processor.
  • Protect scanning room from any potential hazards, i.e. projectiles, credit cards, watches, etc.
  • Assist with front desk duties as needed, ie- schedule appointment, answer phones.
  • Follow all OSHA requirements
  • Travel to any location as needed
  • Rotate Saturdays and After Hours Scans as needed
  • Any additional duties as assigned by the manager

Education/Experience Required:
  • Must be ARRT certified and have an active Ohio license.

Physical Requirements: Physical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and/or feel objects. Must be able to climb, pull, push and kneel. Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs. Average lift 25-50 lbs
