Your job
As a Lead AI Engineer, you’ll drive the technical vision and execution of our Research AI products, with a strong focus on people management and inclusive team leadership. You’ll architect, develop, and optimize large-scale AI solutions using Python, LLMs, and RAG, while mentoring and supporting a diverse team of engineers.
Set and execute the technical roadmap for Research AI, partnering with product and UX teams.
Architect scalable, maintainable AI services leveraging modern frameworks (LLMs, RAG, LangChain, etc.).
Provide inclusive leadership: manage, mentor, and support team members through regular 1:1s, career development, and feedback.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing growth of engineering talent.
Maintain high standards for code quality, security, reliability, and cost efficiency in AI products.
Ensure rigorous evaluation and quality assurance of all AI models and systems.
Stay up to date on AI trends and integrate new technologies as appropriate.
Hands-on coding and technical troubleshooting as needed.
Your skills
2+ years in technical leadership, including direct people management within AI engineering.
Proven experience with LLMs, RAG, and scalable AI architectures, especially in production environments.
Advanced Python skills and experience with toolchains like LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith/Langfuse.
Knowledge of AWS (Lambda, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, CDK), DevOps tools (Datadog, GitHub Actions), and serverless best practices.
Demonstrated success building and leading inclusive teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive culture.
Strong communicator, able to engage diverse stakeholders and guide cross-functional efforts.
Familiarity with agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, OKRs).
