About FirstSteps
The FirstSteps Team is inspired by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential. To that end, our mission is twofold: to provide the best evidence-based, behavior analytic treatment to our children diagnosed with autism and related learning differences, and to offer a positive, collaborative, and dynamic work experience for our team. We are steadfastly committed to ongoing training and mentorship of our employees, always motivated to support the next generation of clinical leaders in our field and at FirstSteps. Our greatest reward is witnessing the rapid and joyful learning of our little ones and knowing that together, we are creating more happy days for the kids and families we serve.

Help Bring Beautiful, Purpose-Driven Learning Spaces to Life
At FirstSteps for Kids, we create world-class ABA centers—bright, engaging spaces where learning is fun and enriching for children, and where our team feels inspired and supported. Each center is intentionally designed to be warm, welcoming, and highly functional. We’re now seeking a Design Implementation Specialist to help us bring these environments to life across California.
This is a project-based position ideal for someone with a hands-on, creative mindset who enjoys seeing a vision come to life. As we continue to expand, there will be opportunities for ongoing work and a larger role for the right person. The ideal candidate is immediately available and based in Southern California.
Join a creative, purpose-driven team that values both beauty and impact. You'll help shape environments that make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and the clinicians who serve them.
Your Role: Design Implementation Specialist
This is a hands-on role that blends light interior styling, project coordination, and furniture installation. You’ll work closely with our leadership team and design consultants to stage new centers—transforming them from raw spaces into vibrant, inspiring environments.

- Stage furniture, toys, books, and art to create welcoming, kid-friendly spaces
- Hang wall art, signage, and decorative elements with care and precision
- Ensure each center is clean, cohesive, and fully ready for families and staff

- Based in Southern California (required)
