Senior Manager, Inventory Planning

Our Place

Office

Los Angeles, CA

Full Time

Welcome to Our Place. We believe that sharing a home-cooked meal is the very best way to connect. That’s why we create products that simplify home-cooking; it’s why we celebrate traditions with families given, chosen, and found; and it’s why we share those stories with you, directly from the people and places where they originate.
We’re looking for a highly analytical, proactive, and collaborative Senior Manager, Inventory Planning to join our growing Operations team. This person will play a critical role in building and refining Our Place’s demand planning process and driving forecast accuracy/inventory health across our expanding omni-channel business. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a strong understanding of the impact that planning systems can have on profitability and the customer experience.

What you will do at Our Place

  • Improve our omni-channel demand planning by validating and enriching item/location-level forecasts using historical sales data, seasonal trends, and NPIs.
  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly variance reports, identifying likely sources of variance to refine and improve monthly re-forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on significant changes in sales, distinguishing signal from noise and escalating issues that may impact inventory position or our ability to achieve revenue targets.
  • Own item setup throughout the product lifecycle—supporting pre-season assortment planning and enabling accurate in-season forecasting, including changes to launch dates, MSRPs, and more.
  • Contribute to cross-functional operational processes, including receipt reconciliation, new product introduction (NPI) purchase order creation, and third-party logistics (3PL) volume/capacity forecasting.
  • Partner with the Director of Inventory Planning and Data Science lead to develop and evolve best-in-class forecasting tools, processes, and team operating rhythms.

Who you are

  • 5–10 years of experience in planning, merchandising, supply chain, and/or analytics roles, with growing levels of responsibility and scope.
  • Deep knowledge of demand planning methodologies and forecast accuracy metrics.
  • Exceptionally analytical and detail-oriented, with a natural curiosity and passion for process improvement.
  • Comfortable navigating between tactical execution and more strategic thinking.A clear and confident communicator who thrives in cross-functional environments—you can proactively gather information critical to forecasting efforts from Product Development, Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Enthusiastic about our mission and excited to support our rapid growth through thoughtful, data-driven planning.

What we offer

  • Competitive pay and real-deal equity — we want you to have a slice of what we’re building together
  • A chance to share in our wins — all full-time team members are eligible for our discretionary annual bonus plan
  • Benefits that actually benefit — top-tier medical, dental, and vision to keep you feeling your best
  • Plenty of time off — generous PTO, and synchronized time off (we all log off together so you can actually rest)
  • We invest in you — $500 a year for learning & development, plus an optional 401k plan so future you is covered
  • All the kitchen treats — team member discount, an annual our place gift card, and of course, lots of our place goodies for your home
  • A culture of connection — team events, activities, and an annual company retreat because we like hanging out together
  • A team full of kind, thoughtful humans who actually care — because the people make this place
