The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a(n) China Transport Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Key Objective:

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) on transportation to ensure the operation comply to regulation

• Response to internal stakeholders with advisory of transportation domain for required efficiency and quality
• Connecting with oversea suppliers, airlines, shipping companies, local freight forwarders to optimize transportation routes and costs
• Deliver the transportation visibility on OTD, Cost and discrepancy

Job Summary:

• Responsible for tracking air and ocean freight of imported goods to CHK, ensure the goods arrive at the port on time and coordinate customs clearance matters.
• According to customer demands and delivery plans, arrange air/ocean booking for export goods from CHK to ensure that the space and shipping schedule meet the requirements
• Maintain close communication with overseas suppliers, airlines, shipping parties and local freight forwarders, and update logistics dynamics in real time
• Handling abnormal import situations (such as delays, cargo damage, and document issues), provide timely feedback and facilitate the resolution
• Consolidate data to demonstrate inbound and outbound operation visibility through dashboard
• Managing Supplier/Freight Forwarder operations through KPI review, identify improvement opportunities, drive performance targets fulfillment.
• Assist the team in completing other logistics-related tasks.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher and Majors related to logistics management, international trade, shipping management, etc. are preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience and familiar with the operation procedures of air and ocean transportation for import and export in CHK
• Have experience in booking space, tracking, customs clearance and handling of anomalies, and be familiar with the local logistics market and regulations
• Ability to handle Excel, PBI or other data analytical and dashboard visualization tools
• Experienced in SAP / S4 Hana system. Expertise in Transportation Management (TM) and Global Trade System (GTS) modules will be added advantage.

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• Possess a spirit of teamwork and have strong stress resistance
• Excellent cross-functional groups communication skills in both Chinese and English (requiring coordination with overseas suppliers)
• Strong sense of responsibility, attention to details, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and unexpected problems efficiently
