Responsibilities:

Lead complex backend projects from functional spec, through writing detailed technical documentation, architecture, development, and deployment.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python in production environments.
Build and manage cloud-native, microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
Work with a variety of data storage technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, DevOps, and frontend.
Build and manage frontend components (Angular) as needed.
Communicate complex technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

Several years of experience working with Python, with the ability to work interchangeably.
Proven hands-on experience developing backend systems in production environments.
Proven experience with Cloud Systems. (AWS is preferably).
Familiarity with event-driven design patterns and the ability to implement scalable, event-based systems.
Experience with various databases, such as SQL, NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB), and knowledge of database design principles.
Ideally has experience with an AI-first approach
Proven experience working in teams (not solo contributors).
Ability to communicate fluently in English.
Ability to drive projects forward independently.
Self-learner, staying up-to-date with current industry trends and best practices.
Problem-solver, ability to thrive in solving complex technical challenges and remaining composed under pressure.
