To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:
- Demonstrated ability to seamlessly lead all aspects of event management, from initial planning to flawless execution.
- Demonstrated communication, relationship building and negotiation skills with the ability to work collegiately with academic and professional staff, students, and external clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrated project management skills including planning, budgeting, and resource management.
- Proven understanding of engagement strategies in a tertiary education environment.
- Proven experience in leading and motivating stakeholders and broader staff groups to deliver high performance outcomes.
- Proven ability to deliver a high quality customer service, applying understanding of stakeholder needs to improve experience
- Proven initiative and problem solving skills and ability to work independently to quickly extract the priority issues and, where appropriate, take action without specific direction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to conduct effective meetings and compose correspondence, minutes and action-oriented reports.
- Ability to adapt to changing software, digital technology and service delivery requirements with the ability to champion the implementation of new technology and ways of thinking.
