The Rockford Distribution Center is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipping Analyst to join our logistics team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the daily analysis and timely processing of both Commercial and Military shipments, ensuring our internal and external customers receive their orders without delay. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who enjoy optimizing logistics processes, driving operational efficiency, and working cross-functionally to resolve issues that impact on-time delivery.
This is a 1st shift position with the core hours being 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. but requires some flexibility including overtime and weekends.
What You Will Do
Analyze and manage the daily flow of shipments, ensuring all orders are dispatched accurately and on time.
Identify and resolve issues that delay order processing by developing and implementing innovative solutions.
Evaluate current shipping processes and procedures to identify gaps, reduce cycle time, and improve efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost, and productivity within the shipping function.
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Customer Service, and Quality teams, to align shipping priorities with business needs.
Support Commercial and Military shipping compliance requirements, maintaining accuracy in documentation and recordkeeping.
Participate in cross-training across administrative roles to build flexibility and ensure robust support for all shipping operations.
Provide after-hours or weekend support as needed to meet critical deadlines and shipping objectives.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or distribution center operations
Strong understanding of shipping documentation, processes, and carrier requirements (domestic and international)
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify process gaps, and implement improvements
Experience with Commercial and Military shipping regulations (ITAR, EAR, etc.)
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), transportation management systems (TMS), and shipping software
Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 50,000 USD - 100,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
