The Opportunity

Canopy Growth is looking for an experienced, highly motivated, self-starter who can manage and coordinate shipments, working with approved carriers.  The ideal candidate will be able to form and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure that the Operations team runs as efficiently as possible. Responsibilities

  • Perform logistics activities including imports, exports, distribution, and general freight shipping, including multiple modes of transportation, such as air, ground & ocean

  • Work on creative solutions for shipments requiring expedited services

  • Preplan weekly shipping schedules & transportation needs for cannabis & non-cannabis products

  • Understand the Cannabis Regulations & internal SOPs, to implement into daily workflow

  • Liaise with vendors & procurement to work on improving shipping lanes and shipping costs

  • Book and track existing shipments, record metrics and costs

  • Review all transportation invoicing for accuracy

  • Meet daily with team supervisors to provide updates on transport

  • Work with supply chain to identify upcoming required transportation

  • Special projects, oversized freight, project cargo

  • Other duties as required

Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point)

  • Dangerous Goods and/or Trade Compliance experience is preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks & projects

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong team player

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written

This is a full-time permanent role based out of Smiths Falls, ON, where a hybrid work environment is provided.
