The Oracle Database Senior Specialist will provide technical consulting and managed services to a wide range of customers locally in Australia and New Zealand as a key member of our Database practice.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Technical Architecture Solutions to meet client requirements

• Design and build specific database environments to meet business requirements

• Pre-sales consultancy for a wide range of Exadata and Oracle Database customers

• Mentoring DBA team members and providing Guidance and knowledge transfer in alignment with industry best practices

• Provide Managed Services support and act as a Lead Support consultant

• Optimise, fine-tune, fit for purpose our managed services operations while applying knowledge of customer’s business

• Assist in solving technical and performance problems
   

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Excellent technical design skills across database, infrastructure and OCI

• 10+ years of experience with implementations, upgrades, conversions and consolidation projects with Oracle databases

• Strong experience with Oracle database ranging from 10g through to 19c across UNIX/Linux and Windows platforms

• Experience administering Oracle database on Exadata

• Strong command administering database security, data recovery, performance monitoring and tuning

• Proficient in writing and optimising SQL statements

• Excellent management, stakeholder engagement, and technical communication skills
   

Highly desirable skills:

• Experience with SSO and E-Business Suite 11i / R12 would be highly desirable;

• Experience with administering Oracle databases on PaaS environments;

• Experience with administering databases on Exadata Cloud at Customer
