Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Creative Director to lead and mentor our internal Nordstrom creative team, ensuring world class output that connects and resonates with customers to deliver results. They have experience working across organizations, understanding the business demands of creative, and are known for their ability to inspire and motive a team.

A day in the life… 

  • Collaborate closely with peers, partners and the Creative Director to deliver brand campaigns, fashion campaigns, and product storytelling campaigns that bring brand storytelling to life across digital channels, print applications and store environment.

  • Lead concepting and ideation for in-house work.

  • Provide expertise and guidance to external partners.

  • Plan and execute brand-enhancing marketing campaigns.

  • Serve as a creative expert, leveraging deep knowledge in cultural currency and creative development.

  • Capitalize on customer interest, participation in community and cultural conversations, and skillfully determine appropriateness for the Nordstrom target customers using a proactive in understanding, evolving design, image and storytelling trends at a macro and micro level

You own this if you have

  • 5-10 years creative direction experience with leadership experience including a minimum 3 years’ experience leading a team.

  • Multichannel marketing

  • Omni-channel retail experience

  • Proven success in high-volume, fast-paced omni-channel/multi-channel/retail environments.

  • Experience collaborating closely with creative directors, photo art directors, producers, videographers, stylists, set designers, graphic designers, and copy writers.

  • Strong leadership and management skills in complex retail settings.

  • Experience delivering executive-level presentations and concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Portfolio demonstrating ability to deliver creative direction that conveys brand proposition and/or product offering that resonates with target audience. 

  • Extensive knowledge of influential image makers, photographic styles and references.

  • Background supporting editorial/content strategy.

  • Excellent research skills with ability to intuit and absorb relevant reference materials.

  • Customer-centric, strategic mindset.

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in design, marketing, fashion, arts, advertising, journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred

  • A strong aptitude for embracing AI technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy and innovation in job-related duties.

Location:

This is a hybrid role requiring the selected candidate to work onsite three (3) days per week and be located within a commutable distance of the Nordstrom corporate offices in Seattle, WA

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. 
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$126,500.00 - $210,000.00 Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
