Technical Project Lead – Software Development

What success looks like in this role:

• Oversees Delivery Management teams, leaders and processes.
• Ensures processes are in place and followed to effectively manage delivery projects, promote value-added client relationship management, oversee budget execution, manage costs and ensure service delivery in accordance with quality standards and service level agreements.
• Leads the execution and delivery of multiple / diverse / complex projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, financial goals and quality standards.
• Manages project and service delivery budgets, ensuring effective cost control and alignment with financial targets.
• Provides regular updates for senior leadership, tracking project expenses, profitability and overall health.
• Identifies and manages project risks, ensuring measures are in place to address challenges and manage project / scope change.
• Handles escalations, resolving risks arising during the project lifecycle and ensuring minimal impact on service delivery.
• Manages the performance of any 3rd Party providers and sub-contractors in order to ensure the implementation of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Lead and manage a global development team of 90+ associates across multiple time zones.
• - Coordinate the efforts of Application Architects, Business Analysts, and SMEs to ensure alignment with project goals.
• - Oversee the design and implementation of a microservices-based architecture using Java technologies.
• - Ensure successful deployment and operation of the application on AWS infrastructure.
• - Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
• - Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• - Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• - Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams.
• - Ensure adherence to quality standards, security policies, and compliance requirements.
• - Drive continuous improvement and agile best practices across the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

• - Proven experience managing large-scale software development projects with international teams.
• - Strong technical background in Java, microservices architecture, and cloud deployment (preferably AWS).
• - Experience working with cross-functional roles including architects, analysts, and SMEs.
• - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• - Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• - PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification.
• - Experience in the airline or travel industry.
• - Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• - Multilingual communication skills.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

BA/BS degree and 8-10 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Graduate degree preferred
4-6 years’ leadership experience
