Are you a First Nations student ready to build your career with one of Australia’s largest banks?
Join the CommBank Summer Internship and gain hands-on experience, build valuable skills, and grow your professional network—all while continuing your studies.
We’re looking for passionate and curious First Nations students from all disciplines who are eager to learn, seize opportunities, and help deliver outstanding customer experiences.
This is a 10-week paid internship running from 24 November 2025 – 30 January 2026.
When you join us as an intern, you’ll:
- Enjoy a fast-tracked introduction to life at CommBank through structured learning sessions and on-the-job experience. You’ll be solving problems and working on projects from day one.
- Learn how a bank operates and how we work at CommBank.
- Be supported to do your best work through access to leaders, program managers, buddies, a central learning team and our Indigenous Careers team.
- Expand your network and build relationships with inspirational First Nations peers and senior leaders that will last beyond the 10-week internship.
- Connect with more than 500 mob across our Indigenous Employee Network.
At the end of the program, you’ll have the opportunity to apply early for the 2027 Graduate Program.

During the application process, we want to get to know the real you, why you’re excited to apply and why you’re a good fit for the role. In addition to your studies, don’t forget to tell us about any extra-curricular activities, side hustles and passion projects. Have a think about what these experiences have taught you (for example time management, prioritisation, communication skills) and how these skills can be applied in a professional context.

- You’re in your penultimate (second-last) year of your overall university degree; and
- You’re maintaining at least a credit average in your overall university degree. If you are applying for a role within our Technology – Engineering team, you will need to be maintaining at least a WAM of 70 and above.
