JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Manufacturing department is seeking a positive, supportive, dynamic Manufacturing Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, equity, inclusion and the use of the classroom experiences to enhance workplace understanding and performance.

Prepare and teach a full range of coursework in process manufacturing and power operations relevant to manufacturing industries. This position will also teach MCC’s credit courses in the Nebraska Correction facilities. Participate collaboratively in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, projects, and other department or College activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 8 years full-time related occupational experience
OR
approved Journey-worker status
OR
an Associate’s degree in career field and 4 years full-time related occupational experience
OR
a Bachelor’s degree in the discipline or in a related discipline and 2 years full-time related occupational experience required.

Preferred
Classroom teaching experience.

Experience in a correctional facility.

Expected Start Date: Fall Quarter

232-day, 12-month contract.

This faculty position will also teach manufacturing credit courses located within Nebraska Correctional Facilities.

May include day, evening and/or weekend classes and may involve travel to other campuses.

A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.

Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval
