Brief Description:

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance person to join our team on the day shift. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance (PM) and repairs on a wide range of equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have broad hands-on experience in several trades and be comfortable responding to urgent fire/security calls as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and building systems to minimize downtime.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
Conduct fabrication and light welding tasks as needed.
Perform light automotive and diesel maintenance.
Complete general carpentry and roofing repairs.
Read and interpret electrical wiring schematics for troubleshooting and installations.
Maintain grounds, including mowing and light landscaping tasks.
Respond to fire and security system alerts on a rotating on-call basis.
Maintain work area in a safe and orderly condition.
Keep accurate maintenance records and logs.
Other duties as assigned such as ad hoc projects

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in general maintenance or related field.
Working knowledge of:

Fabrication and welding
Light automotive and diesel repair
Carpentry and roofing
Electrical systems and wiring schematics
Plumbing
Groundskeeping equipment and techniques

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Reliable and available for occasional after-hours on-call responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical training or certification in a related field.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.

Position: Full-time

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am - 3:30pm

Location: Rock Island, IL

Hourly Rate: $25.00-29.00
