THE ROLE

As a new role in our structure, the Physiotherapist will work as a key member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and support residents with diverse physical and functional needs, helping them maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life.

This role is permanent part-time, three days per week (flexible)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for clients with various conditions including post-acute care, falls prevention, mobility training, and chronic disease management.
  • Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans focused on functional improvement, pain management, and maintaining independence.
  • Providing direct hands-on therapy interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and mobility training.
  • Collaborating effectively with nurses, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, doctors, and care staff to ensure holistic client care.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, and care plan reviews in accordance with aged care standards.
  • Providing family education and staff training on safe mobility practices and injury prevention.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning discussions.

ABOUT YOU

To secure this position, you will bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
  • Experience in aged care, community health, or rehabilitation settings (preferred but not essential for new graduates)
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Genuine passion for working with older adults and making a positive difference in their lives
  • Knowledge of aged care regulations and quality standards
  • Valid and current driver's license

And currently hold or be willing to obtain:

  • A current National Police Certificate for aged care employment
  • NDIS workers check
