As a Software Test Engineer dedicated to our Physical Layer (PHY) team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our hardware systems. You will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing comprehensive tests, including conducting lab tests related to the PHY layer.

As a Cognyter you will:

• Plan, design, and execute thorough test cases
• Conduct PHY layer lab tests, including HW setup and configuration
• Operate signal generators, oscilloscopes, and analyzers
• Set up and maintain lab environments and equipment
• Work closely with QA and R&D to ensure high product quality

Requirements

For that mission you’ll need:

• B.Sc. in software / computer / electronics engineering
• Understanding basic wireless communications concepts (bandwidth, frequency, etc.)
• Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, bash) for automation or data analysis
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
• A curious, growth-focused mindset
• Excellent communication & collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Basic understanding of 3GPP standards (LTE, NR)
• Hands-on experience with PHY and RF testing tools (Keysight, R&S, Anritsu)
• Exposure to advanced Python, Matlab, or Bash scripting
